FACL Fantasy Basketball League 2018/2019

October 2–9, 2018

RSVP: alanh@masuchlaw.com

Hoops fans!  FACL is starting their inaugural FACL Fantasy Basketball League this October.

Absolutely no experience or knowledge is required.  Your host, Alan Hong, will guide you through the basics of fantasy basketball, the NBA and basketball in general.

Fantasy basketball is a game where players pretend to be the general managers of their own basketball teams.  Players pick their favorite real-life NBA players, e.g. LeBron James or Stephen Curry, who earn fantasy points through their real-life statistical accomplishments during the regular season, i.e., points scored, assists, rebounds, etc.  The combined point total of your fantasy team determines how well you do each week.  Your ultimate goal is to assemble a collection of NBA players who performs better in various statistical categories than your opponent’s collection.  It’s that simple.  And richly rewarding.

There is a small fee to participate ($10).  We will be conducting a fantasy draft together prior to the start of regular season at a venue to be determined.  At the end of the season, we will have a party celebrating the winner.  Again, no experience is required as we will explain everything and ensure that everyone has a good time.

The FACL Fantasy Basketball League is part of our initiative to offer fun ways to learn about and experience activities that are normally associated with law firms.

Please email alanh@masuchlaw.com or contact 403-519-9675 if you wish to immerse yourself in the world of fantasy basketball or have any questions.
